The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the winners of the 77th Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night and it was a night of shocks – and not just from Ricky Gervais’ many,?many?barbs. (Repeat after us, “I don’t care!”). It was apparent this was going to be a night of upsets from the very first award, when Ramy Youssef beat out the likes of Bill Hader and Michael Douglas for Best Performance By An Actor In a Television Series – Musical of Comedy. The surprises just kept coming from there:?Missing Link?beating out?Toy Story 4?in the animated film category; Russell Crowe beating Jared Harris for lead role in a limited series of made-for-TV movie;?1917?winning Best Motion Picture – Drama?and?Best Director for Sam Mendes.
